Spring time is the peak of the farmers markets and they are bursting with variety, freshness and ripeness. Fresh Farmers market fare is for all ages! Come explore the Grand Army Plaza Farmers market with us, take a GREENMARKET TOUR and learn about all the fresh produce options we have available to us in this peak season. We will learn how to choose the freshest, ripest and best fruits and vegetables. We will learn how to choose ingredients to prepare a meal based on what looks, smells and tastes the best at the farmers market. After the tour and after choosing our ingredients the class will walk back to the center (about ¾ of a mile!) and then prepare a nice Farmers market seasonal lunch together! Together we learn about local sustainable fresh produce and how to be creative in the kitchen.
