When we think about spring cleaning, we tend to forget about our own bodies, but giving our bodies a spring cleanse is important too. It allows our energy levels to surge and our bodies to function body so we can better enjoy ourselves and the warmer weather. Let’s give ourselves that same attention this spring, clearing out and reorganizing our habits by choosing food and drink that treat our bodies kindly. Eating six small meals a day for two weeks is all it takes to become a cleaner, healthier you! Now we all know about the big cleansing packages out there with the potions and the procedures promising us a super cleanse. That is not what you’ll find here when you join us for a spring detox. We’ll share with you an easy, gentle food-based detox you can use each spring (every season, for that matter) to rejuvenate your system. We’re offering 3 simple steps that provide you with honest, clean meals that satisfy your palette and wipe out all of those fats and sugars that have been building up and weighing you down. Nissa Pierson

Pierson began her food journey in 2005, opening Ger-Nis International, a fair-trade and organic fruit, vegetable and herb distribution. To further her desire to teach others about healthy living and eating, Pierson opened the Culinary & Herb center in early 2010, specializing in a wide range of recreational cooking and educational classes for adults and children, promoting healthy eating and living habits through hands on and lecture style classroom environments. Nissa began to find the stressful times of owning an extremely chaotic international distribution center on top of starting a new business with the culinary center take over and all of her healthy and natural tendencies were thrown out the window. She got sick and tired of blaming Ger-Nis for her bad habits. She has returned to her natural ways of giving her body the attention it deserves so she can better manage her business and enjoy her life!
