Summer means a lot of different things to everyone. For kids, it’s time to play under the sun, splash up and down the water world, and have fun all around! There is no better way to beat the summer heat and satisfy your little ones’ cravings than with POPSICLES! It’s true too that when the heat goes way, way up, cooling down is the only way for us all to enjoy summer ourselves for as long as possible! In this class, we will demonstrate how easy popsicle- making is, even for our littlest kinder-cooks and prove that good healthy fresh fruit treats are the most satisfying and refreshing! Popsicles in summer are a well-proven, secret way of incorporating more fruit into your little ones diet- with that sun pressing down and that innate desire to cool down, there’s no better way! This class will utilize hands-on teaching methods for engaging your kids in educational information about fresh summer fruits – and is sure to thrill and chill!

Recipes: Blueberry Vanilla Cream Yogurt Pops; Watermelon, Mint & Lime Cubes; Strawberry Creamsicles; Jersey Peach Popsicles

Class Type: Kinder-Cooks & the Middle Child (ages 3 to 12 years)

Class Notes: Kids get to chill their summer days with fresh, soothing popsicles created with their own hands, learn basic skills and gain experience working with food and healthy ways to indulge!


Nissa Pierson

Nissa Pierson is a lady whom you can assume has run with the bulls and found herself experiencing the likes of Turkish hamans. She heads the goings on of Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center, taking charge of all operations with gusto. She has been teaching cooking classes for over a decade; lives a life that upholds her fair-trade, organic values; and is a renowned, noted herb expert, having worked in herb fields and the herb business for quite a time now. She has acquired a master gardener certificate, allowing for a deeper appreciation for and understanding of the growing process undertaken by every food plant and a deeper respect for its growers. When she is not at the office, you might find her kickboxing, surfing, dreaming of lavishly designed footwear, or hanging with Mr. Cooper (just kidding). Contact Nissa
