Kristin Slaby began as a Culinary Food Prop Stylist, placing her in a myriad of various food scenarios, exposed to many styles of preparing food and consuming it. Her curiosities led her to enroll in many Raw/Living Food courses, believing the philosophy wholly made sense and wanting to see how the lifestyle might incorporate with her own. This journey in raw foods led her to study with Chef San of Quintessence, Lillian Butler of Raw Soul as well as weaving through the raw foods scene in New York City, eventually solidifying a basis in the raw foods world. After experiencing the extreme health benefits of raw foodism herself, her goal is to provide a creative edge toward marrying the raw, organic world with distinctness in flavor and elegant presentation. She has been teaching classes, leading lectures and hands-on workshops, providing consultations and offering menu planning services as well as food preparation in the raw food world for many years now.
