The Ger-Nis Summer Social Club shakes it up this summer, shuffling through and exploring all the foodie jaunts our city has to offer. From some elegant and revered destinations to some wild west and a little off beat spots, it offers amazing deals and stimulating company all summer long! Start your weekend with baked goods from Baked, Brooklyn’s premier pastry destination with a huge following! We’ll then get energized for the day volunteering for the Added Value Organization at nearby Red Hook Community Farm, offering extra hands and limbs to our local farmers and to get them closer to harvest! Red Hook Community Farm is a project of Added Value, providing opportunities to the youth of South Brooklyn by teaching them urban farming skills. Get baked and give back to Brooklyn today, sticking your hands into the dirt that feeds you! On top of it all, get to know like-minded foodies in the neighborhood, and learn more about gardening from local experts!!

One of our newest members of the Ger-Nis Culinary Team, hailing from Montreal and definitely adding a zest of French into our French farm country repertoire here at Ger-Nis. She runs the ins and outs of the classes for the center and is a highly organized person on top of great, great fun! You’ll see her riding around Brooklyn on her road bike… avoiding the subway whenever possible! On weekends she’s usually seeking sunshine and an intriguing snack worth of traveling to… or reading in a quiet shady spot, somewhere in the nooks of Brooklyn. She’s also a magnet for the food trucks and food markets around town. She will definitely be a heck of a food guide this summer while we social up around town! Contact Genevieve
