The Ger-Nis Summer BBQ Bonanza leaves no one out, highlighting everything lovable about BBQ all weekend long. Kids get carted around along the BBQ circuit all summer long, and it’s only fair to be sure to include them in the BBQ fun! Ger-Nis believes children shouldn’t be coddled in the kitchen, but we should certainly understand the innate difference between a child’s palette versus an adult’s. We’re here to show that it is possible to have kid and adult friendly BBQ! In this class, we’ll be focus on working with fresh, seasonal ingredients you and your kids will welcome to prepare simple but tasty, non-fussy BBQ dishes every little one can enjoy so you won’t have to sit there eating a plain grilled chicken breast because they got freaked out by the sauce. We’ll use summer fruits, vegetables, meats and fish as our grilled base items and prepare subtle yet flavorful sauces that rely on natural, fresh flavor enhancers that your kids will mop up! They’ll learn to appreciate food, admire flavors they won’t find overwhelming and see how fun and delicious BBQ season can be! Best of all, you can spend time with your kid, doing something new that will make both of your summers more enjoyable! Watch your little one be transformed into a happy pit master of the summer BBQ!
