The Ger-Nis Summer BBQ Bonanza realizes a BBQ event is more than just what goes on the grill- it’s an entire event surrounding food that begins with summer drinks and snacks, moves forward toward the BBQ main course paired with classic summer sides, and couldn’t be complete until a sweet something found its merry way to us. This demonstration focuses on providing you with all the grilling dessert know-how you’ll need to satisfy the sweet tooth of everyone at the BBQ and to impress them with your unconventional dessert –making approach! You’ll witness the grilling of the freshest, local summer fruits, how to dress fruits on the grill using fresh herbs and preparing grilled cakes, using dessert BBQ techniques from foil packs to fruit kabobs! If BBQ equals summer bliss, then BBQ desserts equal summer heaven. Get to taste the wonders of grilled dessert when you sign up for this sweet summer BBQ demonstration!

Palak Patel

Chef Palak Patel moved to NY from San Francisco where she served as personal chef to the well to do crowd of the Silicon Valley. She competed on the Sears Chef Challenge, one of only 12 chefs selected to compete in a national cooking competition for charity and featured on CBS series about outsourcing your life. As a teenager, she learned everything she could from her mother about traditional Indian cuisine. Palak’s main goal is to integrate fresh produce and flavors of Indian cooking with French techniques. Palak is currently enrolled in the French Culinary Institute, a premier member of United States Personal Chef Association (USPCA), Women Chef Restaurateurs and Slow Food USA. Contact Palak
