When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for some people to go forth and perform their civic duties, end their day with nourishing repast, and, all the while, display their patriotic fervor, a decent respect for all mankind requires that they should do so with great bearing and spirit. In other words, after you rock the vote on this election day, come to Ger-Nis and party it up in style! We, the People, will be cooking classic American comfort dishes made with locally sourced, organic ingredients and paring them with electorally colored bubbly (don’t call it Champagne). Red, white and blue barely begins to describe the colors of the Autumn bounty we’ll be selecting from and you will leave with the recipes and knowledge you need to turn the season’s harvest into a delicious display of your national pride. I cannot tell a lie: it’s going to be a great time. Apple-cranberry infused sparkling wine (red) and dried cherry & dried blueberry infused sparkling wine (blue) will accompany our meal and keep the party going. So I say, ask not what your bubbly can do for you; ask what locally sourced fruit you can use to flavor your bubbly.

Recipes: Apple-Cranberry Bubbly, Dried Cherry & Dried Blueberry Bubbly, Mini Chicken Pot Pies, Herby Meatloaf, Cheddar Smashed Potatoes with Caramelized Onions and Roasted Jalapenos, Green Beans with Crispy Shallots, Classic Cheesecake with Blueberry & Strawberry Preserve Sauce

Class Type: Individual, hands-on cooking class

Class Notes: After you rock the vote come party it up while learning a seasonal classic everyday American themed menu paired with electorally electric colored bubbly!
