In this series of classes, we show you how to make the most of what’s in season. We will demonstrate how to emphasize the inherent rich flavors while doing very little work, leaving the purest taste from the freshness of the earth. Eve couldn’t resist them – and who can blame the woman? Apples are the sweet, juicy and colorful candy of Autumn, and if we were denied this healthy treat, we’d probably rebel, too! Luckily, apples are abundant this season and here at Ger-Nis, we’re going to teach you and your whole family delicious recipes to last you all fall. This fun class is a great way to get in some family time – and what better way to do it than with this healthy, kid-friendly treat?

Come learn what the many, many varieties of apples this fall has in store for your family – this class, we’re featuring 20 to 30 different kinds from all over the world (and some are local!) – and discover the subtle differences that will take your apple meals from sweet to savory and back again. From Fuji to Gala to Braeburn to Crispin and beyond, these red, green, and yellow apples with keep your family’s mouths entertained. Learn about the harvest season, how and where different apples are grown and stored, and the best apple picks for different cooking techniques.
