Santa’s on his way and you may be plotting strategies for getting onto his “Nice” list. You could go out and buy some cookies to leave for him. But where’s the fun in that? Baking cookies is a Christmas tradition all over the world – and not just as a way to get in Santa’s good graces. They are sweet treats that you can serve to guests at your holiday party and also a wonderful gift you can pack up in a colorful bag or a spirited tin and offer to your favorite sweet tooth. In our class, The Christmas Cookie Box, you’ll learn a number of cookie recipes that range from the simple to the complex but which always end up tasty. You’ll also learn that even the most complex cookie recipes are really not that hard. The class will look at recipes from different cultures around the world to discover how this simple treat is used as a universally understood gift of love to children and adults alike. As Christmas approaches, you’ll have the confidence and the knowledge you need to create gifts from your heart and join in the global tradition. Santa will appreciate the gesture and there will be no lump of coal for you.
