We are excited to offer hands-on cooking classes for the Bolinas After School Program for middle schoolers, on Mondays at the Community Center. Ger-Nis believes in fostering the development of future cooks. We strive to establish healthy eating and living habits through hands-on learning, and to teach kids how to make better choices for themselves, their neighbors and the world. Instructor: Nissa Pierson

Founder of Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center, Nissa Pierson, is the utmost of food enthusiast in the kitchen. In addition to traveling the world seeking organic & fair trade conversation for her global grower consulting and marketing business, she is a noted cooking instructor, food writer, marketing photographer and recipe developer, specializing in fresh herbs, as well as an extremist in proving that the art of eating & cooking well is a relatively simple process and just takes enthusiasm and some tidbits of knowledge. She pioneered the “kids in the kitchen” programs so she could share her experiences with those younger folks who are just as hungry for food and culture knowledge as the adults! She enjoys spice (in her food and her life), good conversations, debates, the ocean, and being humbled by the vast diversity found in the world. Contact
