With Writer and Chef Nissa Pierson

No matter where you are spending winter, chances are you’ll be craving something a bit more filling to carry you through the longer nights and cooler temperatures. Fresh pasta holds the key to a nurturing, filling meal while the preparation process provides a good substitute (or complement to) for therapy. Making pasta asks you to get tactile, using your bare hands and the almighty rolling pin to knead the dough and create sheets. You’ll get to play with flour and experiment with different cuts and styles. You’ll learn to use both a pasta roller and rolling pin to create different forms, while learning to compose satisfying sauces and mix-ins for winter pasta dishes. Not only is making fresh pasta is a great party trick for your arsenal, but your belly and loved ones will sing your praises every time you perform your magic for them.
