Freshen and brighten up your summer with Thai food, mangoes and mocktails! Thai food is strong and aromatic and relies upon the freshest ingredients around to make its dishes really sing and that’s easy in our neck of the woods with so much abundant produce peaking in the summer months! Not only will students learn the freshness of Thai, working with simple ingredients mostly in raw/fresh formats, including loads of fresh local herbs and Crespo Organic mangoes! This totally hands on class will commence with some mango education- fostering curiosity and cultivating appreciation for the sweet versatility of mangoes. Selection, storage, cutting and using tips will be covered as we move through making fresh Thai recipes that are flavorful and mango-centric. The menu is super cooling and flavorful all around and we will make our own super refreshing mocktails as well as Thai condiments to prove how versatile as well as fresh and easy Thai food is. Thai foods crossed over into Vietnamese and Indonesian and we will fuse a few of these ideas together while learning various mango techniques as well as the essential Asian cooking techniques needed to yield authentic, fresh Thai.
